St Laurent - Eze

I'd love to go to nice in the second half of August. Is the gate open now? Thx

The construction work has now finished and access is back to normal :-)

During the weekend and yesterday the gate was open. However, today it was closed. Does anyone know whether it will open again?

Started walking down at 15:30 and the black gate was locked. :(

Hello! My husband and I are going this evening and tomorrow. We are wondering if there is parking near the beach.

Had a wonderful time. This is a most beautiful beach and well worth the trip and hike to get to it. It is a little tricky to reach. Paul and others have describe the route and I will just add a few notes and updates. The number 100 bus leaves from the church at the Port of Nice, (close to the church and on that side of the little park, there is a stop for the 100N across the street from the church and the 100 will not pick you up if you are there. If you are coming from the center of Nice you can take the tram #1 to stop 13, Place Gerabaldi and walk 3 blocks down Rue Cassini to the Port. The bus ride is spectacular and stop are clearly signed. When you get off at "Parking St Laurent d’Eze" continue walking in the same direction that the bus was traveling and you will shortly (~200m) come to an opening in the wall and a small paved path. There were no signs today but the public path is obvious, good and with many twists and turns but takes you under the train tracks and directly to the public beach. Take your time and enjoy the hike from this beach the gay nude coves. The old Iron gate with the center cut away is all the way to the West end of the public beach. The path starts out fine but later becomes a scramble over the rock outcroppings. All very doable and beautiful. There are several coves and you may encounter some guys fairly soon but keep on going and going. All lovely. The return also has a small twist. When you hike back out and reach the road you may notice a bus stop and shelter directly across the road from you. This is for the #83 bus and the #100 will not stop for you. Walk West, back to here you got off the #100 and you will see a sign, no shelter, across the road, for the #100 bus. p.s. Met a very nice guy from Copenhagen, also waiting at the wrong bus stop. All in all a great adventure.

St Laurent - Eze is open again - access as usual.

Does anyone know anything? I am in Nice 08JUL - 10JUL and would love to visit that beach. But is it open or still under construction? If so, is there any other nudist gay beach to go? I would be happy for any advices. Thanks alot!

There is no way you can get to that beach now. Very disappointed as it was not communicated at all.

We have a great experience. The naked people, most of them hot guys, are friendly. The action takes plece at 50-60 m from the beach, in the green area. We enter a group of 5-6 ang have fun.

My boyfriend and I visited the beach yesterday, and we enjoyed the trip. We had trouble finding information for the 100 bus using Google Maps, as we only saw buses 81/82/83 as means of reaching the area. We decided to Uber in both directions from Old Town Nice, which cost us about 30 Euros each way. Google also doesn't list "Parking St Laurent d’Eze", so we started at Cap Estel and walked down the hill a bit until we found the small parking lot bus stop. We then continued walking a few minutes up the next hill as directed by Paul's review and reached the stairs. The guys on the beach were naked and respectful.

You guys are making this confusing... There are 2 gay beaches in the Eze area! One, you have to take the 100 Bus and get off at the parking at St. Laurent. The second beach is accessed by Train, where you get off at Eze.

Having visited this beach yesterday, based upon the really helpful information provided on this site, I feel obligated to try and provide even more information to prospective visitors. The beach is great; go! I took the bus #100 but needed a little help working out exactly which to stop to get off. The stop you want is called: Parking St Laurent d'Eze.' Buses display the names of stops on screens. The bus journey is great: stunning views of the Côte d'Azur and a short pass through a tunnel carved out of the mountain. Once you get off, keep walking up the hill on the right hand side (3 mins) and you come to a stone staircase leading down into a beautiful vale. Just follow this Indiana-Jones-style descent until it ends in a beach. You don't want this beach, however. You want to remove your nice trainers (they will get wet, otherwise) and turn right, walking to the end of the beach until you see a broken gate and a raised set of stairs leading up. Take the stairs! Look at the view! Don't fall off the mountainside you are now moving across. In most places, the stairs simply aren't there; it's up to you to keep negotiating a path over the rocks, keeping as best as you can to the right. You'll start to see sporadic naked men. Smile. Don't wave too emphatically; the path across the rocks gets really narrow in places. Eventually, after 5-8 minutes of this most exciting journey, you'll spy a small beach littered with mostly naked men having a lovely time. Join them by grabbing the very helpful rope attached to the rock face and use it to lower yourself gracefully down to the beach proper. Ta-dah! You've made it, Indie. Now, you just have to find a place to put your towel. Close to the rock as possible would be my advice (waves here can be volatile). Also, observe the genius of the freshwater dousing system: by some miracle of nature, a pool of freshwater sits to the right of the beach ( if you're facing the sea). Some clever people have placed plastic containers there so you can rinse the salt water from your skin. Re-fill the container for the next person, please. Finally, and I did not experience this myself, honest, action takes place if you keep heading right over the next set of rocks. You'll see a small path leading up to the train tracks. People walk carefully adjacent to the tracks towards a small glade. Strangers may populate said glade. The whole experience has an air of exclusitivity that makes a visit to this beach seem special. Take care both in the water and out and you'll return the next day. As I did. Xxx

Visited here today (07/04/15). Everyone clothed. all couples.

This is nudist beach for every body, there no officially gay part but it easy to find guy. The action start later once it gets less crowded. By the way I don't understand how it's complicated to explain the way to go to that beach. It's the most easiest nudist beach to get. Take the train from Nice and stop in Eze Station and reach the beach turn left for 5 minutes walking only and your in the naked area. The further you go you'll be more in the gay area have fun. Nothing around so bring water with you.
