Most older over 40 not busy these days, grinder has killed it off to some degree some staff nice others not so nice. For 11 pounds its ok if you just want a sauna don't think young guys should go in there to meet other young guys - there is no need to save your 11 pounds. It tells you what sort of people are going in there they give discounts to over 65 - sure from that it tells you it's in it's last days.

My first visit to a sauna. I went to unit 2 to see what really goes on inside one of these places. Was curious and said I should just go and check it out. Outside it didn’t seem like a sauna, more like an old gym. Inside however was very clean and totally different when you step into the door. On entry you are greeted by staff, I payed my £11 got my flip flops and went to the changing room. I stripped down put my stuff in the locker and checked it out. Went at opening time so was quiet but had a few guys in there. Went to hot tub and someone was feeling up my leg but I said no thanks and he nodded. Checked out the sauna and steam rooms then went to the play area and a few guys were having fun. They let me watch. After I was done I went and left. Was a good place even if you go just to relax and use facilities

Sauna is clean and almost sterile as the people that visited the place. Despite it being summer, the radiators were turned on supposedly to counteract the cold and unfriendly attitude of the two staff. Otherwise, it's a great place to have a good hot sauna and steam room and soak in peace in the jacuzzi or just walk around and around aimlessly imagining of some hot (even a little) action like the others that were in there. Next time when in this city, better to just take a long bath in your hotel room, imagining what might be going on (or not) in this well heated, super clean space.

Visited Unit 2 on Saturday afternoon as a first time visitor. I was pleasantly surprised to find there was a reasonable crowd on a snowy day. It's a fairly compact place, but it's clean and modern and a nice place to be. I had fun, and I'd go back.

I hadn't been to a Sauna in about 18 years, but decided it was time to see what was happening, compared to some places I had been to Unit 2 was clean, well staffed and value for money. I went in just after it opened and thought it would be really quiet but was surprised to find there were quite a few people in there already. Took me about 40 minutes to find my feet again, but once I did, a good time was had by all.... actually so was I lol! Definitely going back!

I've been going there for about a year. It's always been clean. Jacuzzi is excellent, steam rooms good, sauna good, showers a bit feeble. Service is always friendly and I like the sandals they give you - and you can always have another towel. Guys no different from anywhere - often a bit silent but that's common. I've had some action and rarely disappointed.

Went their today bit quiet at first but had a great time in the jacuzzi got some hot action would go there again.

Been going here over 10 years and always found it exellent, clean, friendly and well looked after but today the staff who came in at 4 pm were not so friendly we had to wait more that 20 minutes for towels with no apology. They were disorganised and seemed happier hiding in the staff area than keeping things clean and tidy. Very disappointing experience and well below what Unit 2 is renowned for. I left much earlier than I normally would as this was not the relaxing experience I have come to expect from Unit 2.

I have been to Unit 2 several times over the past couple of years, and as always the facilities are great, always clean and the staff are always on top of this. It's a good crowd, normally many of other customers are very nice and chatty as well, young guys, older guys, regulars, visitors to Birmingham. It is also important to mention that the place would not be so great if it wasn't for the great staff that they have. The Spanish fella, the others too, always very polite and nice to all customers. I would recommend the place anytime.

Went there today, very pleasant staff blond kid (Rick I think??) and the Spanish fella made me feel very welcome, one of them showed me around. This is a small sauna but nice and more importantly clean. Not sure what sort of crowd they get there but today was a mix of young and older guys. Had a good time and will certainly repeat next time I visit Birmingham. As said at the beginning, top staff!

My local sauna it's always immaculately clean an very good value for money all staff are very welcoming some even more than others ;-) a very good mix of guys young to old an every ethnicity. Within 10 minutes of being in there I was getting [plenty of action] with a couple. Will be going again very soon always a very happy customer.

I love this place very clean and I go at least 2 times a week but since the straight guy came back I stay more in the back as my English not good and as I walk away he says dirty foreigners and I heard him call a Asian guy a bomber and said please don't blow me up making others feel very shocked and the straight guy is from hungry and he says these things to us I'm sad by this but I love this place

First time visitor this week, it's Awesome. SCORED BOTH TIME I HAVE VISITED. I must be very undesirable, Top just turned Power Bottom. Most just ignore me, despite me trying my best to be sexy. Nice staff and excellent coffee. Will visit frequently.

Visited Saturday 1 October 2016. Arrived around 8:30. Big guy on duty was very rude. Tried to put me off by saying not many people in Jacuzzi not working. I still paid the full price to go in. Few people in. The other staff was really fuming as someone used shampoo in the jacuzzi. Kept saying he has to do extra work because someone used shampoo. Lights came on at 9:45 when it clearly stated open till 11 pm. The sauna is nice it's self. Shame I had a bad experience and I hope the owner will read this as I am sure you will need reparations customers to keep it going.

This sauna is small but perfectly formed - plenty of facilities and areas to lurk despite its size. Kept spotlessly clean by friendly staff, it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Brum.

Love all the dark nooks and crannies. As someone who likes the older guys, it certainly has plenty of it.

Just returned from a visit to Birmingham, doubt that the Unit 2 Sauna in Birmingham is every open, the gay village i wildly over marketed, places either closed or low quality and/or boring. Vibrant gay village, ha big joke!

I went to unit 2 for the first time and I found it very good, good value for money, clean, and very friendly staff. I would be go to unit 2 more now :)

Paid my 1st visit to this sauna today and found it very friendly. I was welcomed with 1st class customer service ( and I know what good customer service is having been in retail management over 30 years ) and given a full explanation of where things were. The staff could not be more helpful and even the drinks and the food were extremely good value and inexpensive . The venue it's self was perfectly clean ( best I've seen ) and towels changed for you in request. It was 5:15pm on Friday and though not a great number of clients using the facilities, there was a reasonably mixed age range and all seemed very polite. The venue it's self consisted of 3 steam rooms, a sauna, jacuzzi, rest room/ refreshment area and a behind the scenes ( so to speak ) area for the more active or erotic moments !! ;-) My only negative if I have to find one was that the area behind didn't have much choice of play areas tho I did manage to take centre stage whilst being pleasured for all to watch I can definitely recommend this Sauna and will re-visit I'm sure! A little bonus as I was leaving , the staff member (AJ I think) complemented me as being a good looking bloke! What can I say? The guy obviously has good taste !

Small place, as others have said, but gets the job done. I was greeted by a (very cute) guy at reception who was friendly and chatty. There are two steam rooms, one sauna, a jacuzzi, and a cruising area. I went on a Sunday at 16:30 and it was very busy with a nice mix of guys - truly all types represented. It was 11 pounds for entry. I would definitely go back.

What a pleasant surprise! AJ makes this place what it is, a very friendly barman/host that makes you fel comfortable and right at home. The facilities are not large but when I visited on a sunday it was rathe rbusy and a lot of sexy guys in various ages and a mix of origins. I already want to go back.

Visited today (28.7.15) at 1pm, very clean, well maintained, really pleasant staff. Mixed ages in there. Had a brilliant time and will certainly visit each time I am in Birmingham.

I telephoned the sauna before going to check it was open. The guy answered and explained yes and told me opening times and said there are about 15 people in at the moment. I arrived for the first time to be met with a big smiling face and a welcome from the staff member called AJ. He made me feel very welcome from the moment I nervously stepped in the door. He asked if I had been before and when I said no, he proceeded to explain all about the locker area, flip flops (given by the sauna) and that I could have towel exchanges for free. He directed me to the locker and then explained that everything was on one level and that if I had any problems or questions then just to give him a shout. He even called me handsome lol which I thought was a nice touch! AJ was really sweet and welcoming (not to mention HOT) and I am sure his charm makes lots of guys return there! When inside the place was very clean and there were steam rooms, saunas, cabins, glory holes, cinema, lounge and bar area and a massive jacuzzi. Staff were unobtrusive as they cleaned regularly in the cabins etc. Shower area was good with hot water and liquid soaps etc. The place was fairly busy and I was approached fairly quickly after arriving by some of the customers. Great fun and decent people. If it's your first time then I'd say go and have a great time. The finale before I left was just amazing with the hottest guy ever!!! Enjoy!

Been to this sauna for many years now. Its nice and modern and usually clean. Love watch the porn movies. Place stinks most of the time though. Wish they would have a bare to dare evening like most good gay saunas. Also, would be nice if they held different events like they do in London saunas like foam parties, under 30's etc. The place could do with younger clientele.

Very good service and nice attentive staff. Clean happy uplifting atmosphere. Staff more pleasant and seem happier than all other venues in bham gay district. Really cheap prices for snacks and j20 . Lovely lounge area with 2 large tv. Free wifi and free use of pc. Steam room, sauna and jacuzzi for health. Padded dark room. Many cubicles for close 1 on 1 gay fun. One very large cinema screen with comfortable padding. Staff clearly respect us customers. Where as in other venues staff do raise their voices the staff here are much better trained at talking to customers. Understanding of health issues e.g my diabetes. By far the best gay venue for comfortable gay fun without being told off in all of Birmingham. After 7 years of rushing and fearing of being told off. This is the ideal venue for young and middle aged alike. A much higher grade venue than other cubicled or dark roomed venues where no one even chats. A place of luxury.

I visited this sauna about 4 months ago and had a great time. A nice clean, well equipped place but I do agree with Jason (above) that it lacks glory holes. I spent an afternoon there and met a gorgeous black body builder and also a sexy hung 25yr old from Latvia who was a STUD! did I have a smile on my face guys? You bet I dam well did. I wanted to take out an ad in Gay News! Staff ok and a very clean place, good coffee and cold drinks. A few minutes walk from the Chinatown district.

The place is small but well equipped. Location is a bit shady but very convenient as is very close to the city centre, only a ten minute walk from the train station. The only problem I find is the inconsistency from the staff with cleanliness and closing times. Last time I visited, on a Saturday, got there just after 8pm thinking I have nearly 4 hours (as per advertised opening times) to enjoy the place and about 1.5 hours later one of the staff starts shouting "WE WANNA GO HOME, HURRY UP!" When I get to the locker room to get changed one of the staff was there and apologized for the colleague's behavior. I asked him if his colleague was the owner or the manager of the sauna seen as he was so comfortable kicking customers out before closing time just because he wanted to go home and his answer was that the colleague was having a bad day. I mentioned to him that I manage a restaurant and there is no way a member of staff could do this to a paying customer and keep their job, he must have been listening behind the door because that same moment he storms in the locker room screaming at me saying in not in a restaurant and to get out the sauna. By this time had just gone 10pm and I asked him why am I being kicked out at this time when the closing times they advertise are much later and he keeps shouting saying the websites are wrong. I just wish they had the decency to tell they wanted to go home early before they took my money. As well as some manners!

I think its the best sauna in the Midlands - OK, the Greenhouse is bigger but no where near as clean plus you get flip flops unlike the green house.

Lovely clean facilities consisting of two very hot steam rooms - a bit dark when you first enter from the outside. A great sauna, but again very hot. Tried the jacuzzi. It was truly huge and big enough for lots of fun with my bf - we both loved it. Now to the downside. My bf lost his flip flops so we went and reported it and was told we would be charged £10.00. Anyway, we then left and was not charged for them, just for drinks we had. Overall we would rate this place 6/10. The reason for this is because there are not enough glory holes.They should be between each cabin. We also feel as there was two of us we should only paid for one of us or say £15.00 instead of £22.00 for both of us.
