Cafe Babalú is a popular gay-owned cafe in Reykjavik with an extensive selection of cakes. The decor is very colourful. It's a great place to stop for a snack in the afternoon, especially if you have a sweet tooth. Good coffee too. Popular with locals and tourists alike.

Ida Zimsen is a cafe and bookshop. The coffee is good and there are plenty of desserts to choose from. It's gay-popular and quirky. A good downtown place to unwind.
