Tenerife Gay-Popular Beaches

Tenerife's beaches and year-round sunny weather make it a popular destination for gay sunbathers and naturalists.

Due to the volcanic nature of the Island, most of beaches are relatively small and the soft sand is dark colored. In fact, the sand on some beaches is almost black.

Most beaches are incredibly clean (many have been certified as Blue Flag beaches) and have a good range of facilities, including sun beds, cafés and bars and toilets.

The beaches in Tenerife are busiest from April through September and almost deserted in wintertime. Even during peak season, don't expect to find as many gay sunbathers as in Maspalomas Beach in nearby Gran Canaria island.

Built by acclaimed artist/architect Cesar Manrique, Lago Martiánez is more than just an amusement park for kids.

With features like waterfalls, elegantly designed swimming pools and landscaped lakes, the place attracts many adults.

There is an 'unofficial gay section' where guys lounge on the sun beds in a private corner with landscaped gardens, away from other visitors. Upon entry, take a left.
